Discover Rimac Nevera – A $2.4 Million Electric Supercar That Transcends All Limits With Remarkable Aerodynamic Improvements And An Exclusive Limited To Just 150 Units.

The Rimac Nevera, originally introduced as the C_Two concept, has been upgraded to an exclusive edition limited to just 150 units, with a price tag starting at $2.4 million. Named after a Mediterranean storm, the Nevera showcases remarkable aerodynamic improvements, increasing efficiency by over 34%.

Enhanced Aerodynamics and Cooling

Compared to the C_Two concept, the Nevera boasts significant aerodynamic enhancements. Rimac revamped the shape of the hood, pillars, and the design of air diffusers, splitters, and heat extractors, optimizing airflow and increasing downforce. Redesigned air intakes and cooling vents contribute to a 30% boost in cooling efficiency at low speeds and a 7% improvement at high speeds.

Aerodynamic Shapeshifting

The most impressive innovation lies in the bodywork, where dynamic aerodynamic elements allow the Nevera to transition from “high drag” to “low drag,” creating an optimal aerodynamic configuration for every driving scenario. In “low drag” mode, the car reduces aerodynamic drag by 17.5%, achieving a drag coefficient of only 0.3. Conversely, in “high downforce” mode, the car generates a downforce increase of no less than 326% when accelerating.

Uncompromising Performance and Powertrain

The powertrain remains consistent with the concept unveiled in 2018. The Nevera employs four electric motors, one for each wheel, generating a total output of 1,914 horsepower and a colossal 2,360 Nm of torque. A 120 kWh Lithium/Manganese/Nickel H-shaped battery, liquid-cooled and designed by Rimac, powers the car. With 500 kW DC Combo fast-charging technology, the car can charge from 0 to 80% in just 22 minutes, providing a WLTP-standard range of approximately 550 km.

Impressive Acceleration and Top Speed

Rimac claims the Nevera can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h (0-60 mph) in a mere 1.85 seconds, reaching 0-161 km/h (0-100 mph) in 4.3 seconds, and 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) in just 9.3 seconds. The car completes a quarter-mile run in 8.6 seconds and can achieve a breathtaking top speed of 412 km/h (approximately 256 mph).

Innovative Torque Distribution

To achieve sub-2-second acceleration times, the Nevera meticulously calculates torque deployment to each wheel over 100 times per second through Rimac’s intelligent all-wheel torque vectoring system (R-AWTV). Stability, safety, efficiency, and agility are finely balanced to meet the demands of any driving condition.

Structural Strength and Weight Balance

The Nevera’s monocoque carbon-fiber structure stands out as a groundbreaking feature. Designed to envelop the battery pack, it forms an incredibly robust structure with a torsional rigidity of 70,000 Nm/degree. The battery package alone contributes a 37% increase in stiffness to the carbon-fiber monocoque, while the optimal floor positioning not only achieves a low center of gravity but also balances weight distribution at 48/52 front-to-rear.

High-Performance Braking and Regeneration

Given its immense power and weight, the Nevera is equipped with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, featuring a 390 mm diameter disc and 6-piston calipers. The Nevera offers the highest regenerative braking capability ever seen in a production car. The regenerative system dissipates kinetic energy via friction when the battery’s temperature reaches a critical point, and if the friction brakes exceed operational limits, the regenerative braking system activates automatically.

Precision Engineering and AI Driver Coach

Rimac aimed to blend the characteristics of a road-going car with the precision of a track-focused machine, resulting in seven distinct driving modes, including Sport, Drift, Comfort, Range, Track, and two customizable modes. The Nevera will also feature the world’s first AI Driver Coach, utilizing ultrasonic sensors, cameras, radar, and NVIDIA’s Pegasus operating system to assess performance and provide real-time guidance, enhancing the driving skills of the operator. This system, set to launch in 2022 through remote updates, creates a bridge between a hypercar and a personalized driving instructor.

Innovative Cabin and Customization

The Nevera’s cabin incorporates three high-resolution screens, including an instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, a central infotainment display, and a screen for the passenger. The control panel boasts tactile aluminum knobs and switches, merging analog sensations with digital technology. Rimac ensures that the Nevera offers ample comfort for two occupants in racing attire, along with luggage, demonstrating the car’s dual-purpose capability.

A Unique and Exclusive Offering

Customers can personalize their Nevera with various material and trim options to create a truly distinctive version. Rimac also plans to offer multiple editions, including GT, Signature, and Timeless variants.

Mate Rimac’s Vision

Mate Rimac, the founder and CEO of Rimac Automobili, emphasizes, “The Nevera showcases what is possible when no limitations are placed on technology, development, or ambition. We have launched a hypercar that pushes the boundaries even further, harnessing the full potential of today’s electric systems, demonstrating that a hypercar running on electricity, in the form of the Nevera, is not only exhilarating but also astonishing on the track, as it stretches across continents.”

Limited Production and Premium Pricing

The new Rimac Nevera will be produced in a highly exclusive batch of 150 units, meticulously handcrafted, with a starting price of $2.4 million. This pricing positions the Nevera as a top-tier collectible hypercar, destined to redefine the boundaries of electric vehicle performance and exclusivity.
